#1 The Midwest OCR

The Midwest OCR is a great event that challenges me. It is a great race that brings out a really awesome community and I love how Aaron and Dana treat everyone. They are respectful, firm, and understanding. Their obstacles are spot on. I especially like their low rig and pac man. I just like all the rigs but I love hanging obstacles. There are many things about this event that sets it apart from the rest but the highlight is the big Skull everyone signs as a commemorative way to say you are there. It’s kinda like signing the participation waiver in person 😂 . Keep up the good work!!

This event was a blast and it has been a blast for the last 3 years I have gone. I love representing the United States and carrying the flag. I have been to Mammoth and Lake Tahoe and being from CA I loved the elevation challenge and seeing friends while I was there.
This year I traveled to Australia. It was my first time representing the USA in another country. It is a great way to make new friends and meet other people from around the world. There are some fun obstacles there like Snake pit and canyon. It was a very different type of race. This is a good race to try against the best in the world in AG or Elite.

WarX

WarX is a great race to challenge yourself and to see that hill running is a great training idea. This race is wonderful and the community is very encouraging and everyone loves to help you out. It also has a great Battle challenge that is the highlight of the weekend. The Battle Challenge is a team event where you can go with your friends and be a part of a rescue mission in a simulation war setting and also shoot an AR-15. Their 350 foot water slide is a great part also but I have a love-hate relationship with their water slide. I can’t wait for next year!

The Barbarian Challenge
It is a great race to run. It is a hilly course and will definitely challenge your legs. The Obstacales can be a challenge depending on where they put certain ones throughout the course like “weaver.” If not prepared it can be a cramping race.  The best part of the event by far is when we get to swim through the waterfall at the end of the race. It is refreshing and surprisingly tiring. If you’re not prepared it can be a cramping race.

Highlander Assault FrontlineOCR 

I have only been to this race once because it is too far away from me. I would definitely love to go again. The obstacles were a blast and I loved the terrain. Hope to go again. We traveled far just to experience their Tilt-A-Kilt signature obstacle. It was fantastic.

The New England OCR Expo
This is a great opportunity to try different types of races from the 100 meter to a Deka strong. It also has many different race companies that are represented that you can check and see what looks fun to try. I have gone the past few years and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and community.
